Metro Exodus is the first PC game to support DualSens -apkrig

When we were able to test the PlayStation 5 for the first time, we appreciated the innovations that Sony designers made on the new DualSense driver. Haptic feedback and adaptive triggers have become an important topic in the release of any game for the PlayStation 5, and even in discussions between players, it can be felt that these are the features that really define progress and that mythical next-gen designation. Until now, however, they have remained accessible only to PS5 owners, regardless of the fact that DualSense can also be connected to computers or mobile phones. But everything changes with the latest update for Metro Exodus, which unlocks the premium features of the mentioned driver in the PC version and for the first time gives players without PS5 the opportunity to test how interesting DualSense really is.

The Video Games Chronicle magazine, resp. editor-in-chief Andy Robinson on his Twitter. He shared a short video where he clearly demonstrates the recoil of the R2 button during shooting and confirms that the haptic is also fully manifested. The only restriction Robinson has encountered is connection – he mentions that you can only access the features if you connect DualSense to your computer with a cable, which on the other hand is not really a big obstacle. Interestingly, however, the developers at 4A Games made the features of the driver described before it came out next-gen update for PS5 version. Together with the improvement in the version for the Xbox Series, it is not planned until June 18, and we can consider the earlier release on the PC as a pleasant tasting.

Finally, the question is what role Sony, if any, has played in the whole case. It seems that there is none in the console magical technology that would guarantee full support for DualSens and it seems that everything really remains under the direct control of the developers. This would mean that in the future we could receive the same care for other games, either from third party developers or directly from PlayStation Studios. It’s a pity that Horizon Zero Dawn, even a few days ago, Days Gone does not support DualSense functions even on the PS5, let alone we can count on them on a PC, but in the world of video games perhaps does not exist a problem that could not be solved by another patch. Fingers crossed! So, in this case more index fingers…
