MediaMarkt continues to push prices down

If you are toying with the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, you can now get some really good bargains. The popular top smartphone is currently available in several inexpensive bundle variants. GIGA presents the offers, reveals where there are pitfalls and has calculated where you can save the most.

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE: 3 bundle deals that are really worth it

If you order the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE (you can read the GIGA test here) in combination with a mobile phone contract, you can currently save a lot: Three interesting bundle offers are currently available at MediaMarkt and Saturn – in one of them the effective price falls above the Duration calculated on less than 0 euros per month.

Bundle 1: Galaxy S20 FE with 5 GB LTE in the Vodafone network

MediaMarkt offers the Galaxy S20 FE in three color variants and with 128 GB of storage space. The tariff counterpart in the bundle is the green LTE 5 GB contract offered by Mobilcom-Debitel.

The details of the tariff at a glance:

  • Tariff: green LTE 5GB
  • Network: Vodafone
  • 5 GB LTE data volume (max. 21.6 Mbit / s)
  • Telephony: Allnet Flat
  • SMS: 19 cents per SMS
  • including EU roaming
  • 24 months minimum term, 3 months notice period

There are two pitfalls to watch out for: SMS cost money with this contract. So if you regularly send short messages this way, you would be better off using another offer. In addition, the price increases to 21.99 euros per month from the 25th month – so think about the termination in good time. Also note the limited speed of a maximum of 21.6 Mbit / s. This is sufficient for most applications, but those who value maximum performance will not be happy with it.

The following costs await you:

  • Basic fee: 24 × 19.99 euros per month
  • One-time device price for the Galaxy S20 FE: 1 euro
  • One-time connection price: 39.99 euros
  • Shipping costs: 3.95 euros
  • Total costs after 24 months: 524.70 euros

If you subtract the costs that are normally incurred for the Galaxy S20 FE – it currently costs around 450 euros – the price is just around 24 euros for the tariff alone. That is about a contract period of 24 months 3.11 euros per month.

If you don’t mind the SMS price and the data volume, which is not too generous at 6 GB, the bottom line is that you get a good bundle offer at MediaMarkt.

Bundle 2: Galaxy S20 FE + Galaxy Watch Active 2 & 5 GB LTE in the Vodafone network

Also at MediaMarkt you can get the Galaxy S20 FE with the smartwatch Galaxy Watch Active 2 (size: 40mm) and a mobile phone contract in the Vodafone network via Mobilcom-Debitel.

The details of the tariff at a glance:

  • Tariff: green LTE 5 GB
  • Network: Vodafone
  • 5 GB LTE data volume (max. 21.6 Mbit / s)
  • Telephony: Allnet Flat
  • SMS: 19 cents per SMS
  • including EU roaming
  • 24 months minimum term, 3 months notice period

Here, too, it gets more expensive from the 25th month, the price then rises to 21.99 euros per month – so think about canceling in good time. Apart from that and the restriction that there are costs for SMS, this bundle can also convince.

The following costs await you:

  • Basic fee: 24 × 19.99 euros per month
  • One-time device price for the Galaxy S20 FE: 49 euros
  • One-time connection price: 39.99 euros
  • Total costs after 24 months: 568.75 euros

The effective price is impressive: If you offset the costs for the Galaxy S20 FE with 128 GB (approx. 450 euros) and the Galaxy Watch Active 2 (approx. 140 euros), we get at -21.25 euros or -0.88 cents per month out – so on paper there is even money back here. Incidentally, the range with the larger 44-millimeter version of the smartwatch is just as good.

Bundle 3: Galaxy S20 FE + Buds Live & 5 GB LTE in the Telekom network

The third bundle consists of the same tariff and smartphone, but as a hardware addition there are the Samsung Buds Live Bluetooth headphones.

The following costs await you:

  • Basic fee: 24 × 19.99 euros per month
  • One-time device price for the Galaxy S20 FE: 49 euros
  • One-time connection price: 39.99 euros
  • Total costs after 24 months: 568.75 euros

After deducting the smartphone value (approx. 450 euros) and headphones value (approx. 73 euros), this results in an effective price of 45.75 euros, i.e. around 3.80 euros per month.
