The TV streaming provider Zattoo is now offering more HD channels. A total of eleven new channels have been added, some of which belong to RTL. However, users with a free account will not be able to see all of them and will instead need a premium or ultimate subscription.

Zattoo: 11 new regional channels launched

Zattoo users now have more choice if they have a paid subscription to the TV streaming provider. Among other things, there are now six independent ones RTL Television regional channel available: RTL Hessen, RTL West and RTL RON (Rhein-Odenwald-Neckar) are available, as is TV Bayern live and the RTL Nord program divided into Bremen / Lower Saxony and Hamburg / Schleswig-Holstein.

Also new additions four regional stations from the Free State of Saxony. The Sachsen Fernsehen program is available in local versions for Leipzig, Dresden, Chemnitz and a channel for the Vogtland. In contrast to the RTL programs, the channels from Saxony can also be streamed via Zattoo’s advertising-financed free model (source: Digital TV).

The new channels are all in HD quality in the app and available on the desktop. They can be found in the Regional category and, like other TV channels, can be watched with a time delay, restarted or paused – provided a paid subscription has been taken out.

At Zattoo, users can choose between a Free, a Premium and an Ultimate subscription choose. With the free model, advertising breaks must be expected and a maximum of 30 hours per month can be watched on smart TVs via the Zattoo app.

Zattoo Premium costs 9.99 euros per month. Unlimited streaming on smart TVs is included here, as is mobile use within the EU. With Zattoo Ultimate for 13.99 euros per month, up to four streams are possible at the same time.
