Magic Eraser and Live Translate in the spotlight

The new Pixel 6 phones will be announced in a few days, so it’s high time for the latest leaks. In two leaked commercials we see attention for the Magic Eraser and Live Translation.

The commercials, shared by Twitterer _Snoopytech_, not only show those two new options, but also a homescreen full of Material You widgets. You will also see the analog clock styles Numeral and Scallop. In addition, a Now Playing widget for YouTube Music can be seen.

Tensor chip

The commercials for the brand new smartphones that Google will announce next week also pay more attention to the Tensor chip, which Google is introducing for the first time in the Pixel phones. After all, they have to do it all in terms of computing power.

That computing power is necessary, because many new possibilities are coming to Google Pixel. Think of the Magic Eraser that allows you to edit photos in Google Photos. The advertisement shows that the artificial intelligence asks if you want to remove ‘distraction’. Think of objects in the photo that draw attention away from the main subject in the snapshot.

Live Translate

Another option that Google clearly wants to give extra attention is Live Translate. This allows you to translate texts directly in the Google Messages app and via Google Lens. This makes it easier and faster to have a conversation with someone who does not speak the Netherlands while on holiday. The special thing is that you can also do this in countries where your data plan lets you down. Live Translate also works offline.

The ad also pays attention to the security hub, which is fully equipped to keep your phone safe. This ensures that no one can just access your passwords and that your digital life remains private. One of the slogans of Pixel 6 is “For All You Are” (for everything you are).

Google Pixel 6 announcement

It is not clear in the commercials whether the difference between Google Pixel 6 and Google Pixel 6 Pro is very large, but that is logical for a commercial. In the announcement of the smartphones on October 19, we expect that Google will put that difference under a magnifying glass.

And you, are you going to watch the announcement of Google’s new smartphones? Leave it in the comments.
