MacBook Pro 2021 with HDMI and SD card reader
At least Ming-Chi Kuo (via MacRumors), a usually knowledgeable Apple insider. The two new MacBook Pros, which therefore have an HDMI port and SD card reader, would be released sometime in the second half of 2021. In addition, Apple would make some improvements in design and specifications, but little is known about this. We also do not yet know when the laptops will be announced exactly.
If the SD card reader returns, that is good news for photographers, for example, who can insert the memory card directly into the MacBook. Thanks to the HDMI port, you no longer need an adapter to connect the MacBook Pro to an external screen. With current MacBook Pros you need a USB-C-to-HDMI adapter for this.
It is probably a 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro, which is rumored to also have a brand new mini LED display. Mini-LED offers a higher contrast, is thinner than OLED and also cheaper to produce. MagSafe, which made its way to iPhone 12 phones last year, would also return on the new MacBook Pro laptops.
More about the MacBook Pro 2021
A previous rumor stated that the MacBook Pro will get a new design with ‘flatter edges’ and will therefore look more like the iPhone 12 and iPad Pro. In addition, the Touch Bar may disappear and Apple opts for old-fashioned function keys this year, which many users have been asking for for a long time. The new laptop is also expected to run on Apple’s M1 chip. It is faster, more energy-efficient and is also in last year’s MacBook Pro and Air.
