Like Google, but without ads
After the USA, the ad-free search engine Neeva is now also taking off in Europe. It was founded by two former Google managers. In addition to advertising, tracking of users should also be avoided. A paid version with more features will appear later.
Instead of Google: Neeva starts in Europe
The Neeva search engine is now also available in Germany, France and Great Britain with a localized version. She sees herself as Alternative to Google and other established search engines. There is no advertising in the search results and, according to the company, there is no user tracking.
Neeva can be used free of charge and, in addition to a text search, also offers the option of searching explicitly for images, videos, news and locations. As with Google, the results are expanded with information in the margins. The aim is to present “honest results”.that do not serve the interests of advertisers. A “flood of advertising, SEO spam and irrelevant information” is not to be expected (source: Neeva).
Users have the option of using applications such as Dropbox, Slack, Figma and connect others to Neeva to extend searches to personal documents.
The search engine has been available in the US since 2021. The company was founded by two former and senior Google executives. Sridhar Ramaswam was responsible for the group’s billion-dollar advertising business until 2017, while Vivek Raghunathan was vice president of YouTube and responsible for monetization there.
