Life is Strange: True Colors
The sequel to the popular series of story adventures, Life is Strange: True Colors, is really around the corner. There’s less than a month left to release it, so it’s time to show some of the footage from the game, which Square Enix, in collaboration with developers from Deck Nine, did as part of a 13-minute video from the beginning of the adventure.
Even True Colors will take us to the USA, this time to the state of Colorado, where the town of Haven Springs can be found under the Rocky Mountains. And also the new heroine Alex Chen, who, unlike the previous protagonists, has been living with her supernatural ability for some time – she can hear other people’s thoughts and also see or even experience their emotions.
In a new demo, Alex goes to the record store, where he meets Ryan National Park ranger and also an old acquaintance from Before the Storm, DJ and saleswoman Steph Gingrich. As part of True Colors, she also earned a separate extension, Wavelengths, where she will probably explain to those interested in how she got from Arcadia Bay, Oregon, to Colorado. DLC will be released three weeks after the base game, September 30th.
There will probably be no revolution in the genre of story adventures here, most of the demonstration consists of branch conversations, Alex’s internal monologues and shots of a black cat. But at one point, her abilities come to the fore when Steph gets angry during the phone call. It can be assumed that the creators save more action moments for the game itself.
Life is Strange: True Colors is released on September 10, 2021 for PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Stadia. This time all at once, so you don’t have to wait another year for all the episodes to be out. The previously announced version for Switch is postponed to a later date, but should be released later this year.
The collection of remasters of the first two parts of Life is Strange does not catch up with the year 2021, Square Enix recently postponed it to next year from September.
