KPN customers receive Plus for free after months of outage
Provider KPN gives customers a (scant) compensation after months of disruptions, namely a month Plus or one film free of charge.
KPN gives customers free access to the Plus package for a month. The provider does this because there was a malfunction for months caused by new software. Users who already purchase a Plus subscription can choose from a selection of films that they can watch for free.
KPN gives free Plus
The separate TV package KPN Plus includes more than 25 paid channels, including Comedy Central Extra, Animal Planet, MTV Music 24 and Pornhub TV, which are now available for free. Customers can enjoy the extra channels for a month, up to and including 28 February.
If you already pay for a Plus subscription, you can select a movie. You will then receive a voucher in the mail and you can create a home cinema for free. Normally, the subscription costs $ 9.99 per month, while movies can be as cheap as a dollar.
Months of outage
Apart from the somewhat skewed ratio between compensations, many users in the blog post complain about the dead sparrow, which they say they are happy with. And in itself it is not difficult to imagine the sentiment of the affected users.
Customers would have experienced disruption for months when viewing content. The new menu would also respond very slowly and syrupy. As compensation for months of inconvenience, those customers now get one free movie or channels they don’t want. That feels a bit disproportionate.
Anyway, this is still all that KPN customers can expect. After all, in addition to free KPN Plus, they (if all goes well) also have an update that should finally solve all previous problems. If that is not the case, the turnips are really done for many customers.
