Kojim doesn’t like the subtitle Director’s Cut for Death Stranding -apkrig

Although Hideo Kojima will release Death Stranding Director’s Cut in September, he is clearly not a big fan of this title. A respected designer on his Twitter wrotethat the director ‘s editing of the film means an additional version, because originally the director did not have the last word in the editing, or the film had to be shortened to cinemas. According to him, this incorrectly indicates that something was cut from the original game.

In reality, however, the new edition does not contain anything that should be in the original and was missing. But it’s really something extra. He suggested that this edition could be referred to as Director’s Plus. He says he doesn’t like the term Director’s Cut himself.

This is not a next-gen update, but a director’s cut, as Sony would say.

But the publisher of the game is Sony, and he obviously liked the term Director’s Cut. He is also preparing it for a new and expanded version of Ghost of Tsushima. PlayStation Studios boss Hermen Hulst, following her official announcement suggestedthat more will come. And in that sense, it seems that this subtitle may also partially legitimize the paid upgrade. This is not a next-gen update, but a director’s cut, as Sony would say.

The reason why PlayStation chose this marketing attribute is not hard to guess. It sounds good, everyone understands it and customers interpret it as some added value. While it might as well be the final version or the final edition, Sony has no doubt checked in some surveys what wording will open people’s wallets.

By the way, Death Stranding Director’s Cut is supposed to be almost 69 GB in size without the Day 1 patch, and the preload will be available on September 17.
