Join the Threads beta for more features

Threads is not officially available in the Netherlands and Belgium, but you can still access the app via some clever detours. And that will soon be even more worthwhile on Android, because there are a number of innovations that only come to the Android version of the app.

The use of Threads has already grown enormously: more than 30 million people can already be found on it, which is impressive for an app that has only been around for two days. It is only a somewhat bare app, but that will soon change for Android users.

You can sign up for a beta of Threads that allows you to test the new features before they are released to the general public. Of course you have to take into account that this can cause the app some performance problems, but it is very cool to try it out.

Plus, there’s already quite a list of features coming to Threads’ Beta. This includes a feed containing only accounts you follow, a search bar, the ability to edit your post, translations of posts, hashtags and of course the most obvious: the ability to delete your account without immediately lost your Instagram. There are many more wishes, but at least this is what the team is working on.

Quite remarkable: with hashtags and editing options, the people at Istagram are familiar, right? On the other hand, of course, it doesn’t want to put down an Instagram copy, so it’s good that it starts a bit more on its own before adding everything we already know. So if you just want to continue using it as you know it now, then you better ignore the beta.
