John Goodman has lost a lot of weight

We know John Goodman as a versatile actor who can slip into all sorts of roles. Now he has accomplished an optical transformation.

Losing weight is not an easy task, but it is “roseanne”-Star John Goodman did it! The actor presented a whole 90 kilos less at the “Monte Carlo TV Festival” in Monaco. Before that, John Goodman weighed twice as much, for a total of 180 kilos. Even before that, the actor kept trying to lose weight, but was subject to the yo-yo effect: he lost weight quickly, but gained weight again just as quickly. In 2007, John Goodman decided to change his entire life. He hired a personal trainer, changed his diet and gave up alcohol. This change was crowned with success, John Goodman looks better than ever. And that at the proud age of 71 years!

Will we ever see John Goodman as Dan Conner again?

After his film career, John Goodman has focused primarily on dubbing in recent years. So he lent his voice to Sulley in the series “Monsters at Work” or as Catfish Crawford in Easy Does It.

The series “Roseanne” was a stepping stone for many actors. For example for Johnny Galecki (“The Big Bang Theory”) and Sarah Chalke (“Scrubs – The Beginners”), who also got roles in some cult series and were even seen in some blockbusters. The main cast also benefited from their roles in the sitcom. John Goodman helped the series in particular: he landed big roles, for example in “The Big Lebowski” or Inside Llewyn Davis. However, the actor will probably not return to his cult role as Dan Conner. After 2018 a another season of “Roseanne” ended earlythere are no further plans for the cult sitcom to return.

But fans can ask about the spin-off series “The Conners” be happy. The sitcom follows the children’s lives after the death of their mother, Roseanne. The lead roles will be taken by the original actors; a real nostalgia trip.
