Jailbreak fixes bug that disables iPhone Wi-Fi

WiFiNameBugFix is the name of a tweak that allows iPhone with jailbreak to fix the bug that disables Wi-Fi. This was first spotted last month and again just a few days ago. For some surprising reason, Apple is still not offering a patch update for iOS.

The bug in question concerns the name of Wi-Fi networks. If an iPhone connects to a network named% p% s% s% s% s% n,% secretclub% power or other variants, iOS blocks completely Wi-Fi. The device can no longer connect to any network at all, since the dedicated setting is simply grayed out.

This is where the WiFiNameBugFix tweak comes in. Suggested by developer Mario Cheung, it changes the way iOS manages the names of Wi-Fi networks to avoid blocking. The user has no adjustment to make, the simple fact of installing the tweak on his iPhone which has the jailbreak is sufficient.

There is two good news with WiFiNameBugFix. The first is that the tweak is free, just add the source https://tweak.mario.net.in/ in Cydia or in your alternative tweak manager. The second good news is that the tweak is open source. You can take a look at its code on this GitHub repository.
