Is there going to be a third remaster of Call of Duty Modern Warfare or not
Confusion everywhere. Will there be a third remaster of the popular game Call of Duty Modern Warfare or not? At least the fans hope so. We know the answer.
There have been rumors for a long time that there would be a third remaster of the popular game. The second remaster was released in 2020 and many people thought the third would soon follow. Many forums are currently speculating when the third remaster will be launched. The developer Activision now claims that it will never come.
Third Remaster Call of Duty Modern Warfare
Activision is adamant about this: it’s not coming. The company has stated this to CharlieIntel. An Activision spokesperson said: “There is no such thing as a Modern Warfare 3 remaster, campaign or multiplayer. All other reports are incorrect.” Clear language, with which many fans will probably be disappointed.
Activision has only remastered two Call of Duty games since the franchise began. The first is Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, which was remastered in 2016. And this one is bundled in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. That remaster included both the campaign and multiplayer as part of the package. The second remaster is: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered. The remaster was campaign mode only.
Plan
The developer has no concrete plans for other Call of Duty remaster games for the time being. This can also be clever marketing, denying all the rumors and then launching something anyway. But the company is now very clear. Activision seems to be really focusing on new annual premium titles that support and integrate Call of Duty: Warzone.
