First iPhone 16 rumors are popping up
While we still have to wait a few months for the iPhone 15, the first rumors about the iPhone 16 are already emerging. Earlier it became clear that the iPhone 16 Pro Max should probably make way for the iPhone 16 Ultra. That will probably be the iPhone with the largest screen on an Apple phone ever.

Now more information has emerged about the camera of the iPhone 16. The periscope lens is expected with the iPhone 16 Pro and the Ultra, which will probably appear for the first time with the iPhone 15 Pro Max this year. With the regular iPhone 16, the camera island is also expected to change. We tell you what exactly is different.
iPhone 16 gets a new camera island
The position of the cameras is slightly different with the new series of iPhones in 2024. The current iPhones still have two camera lenses that are diagonally apart on the back of the device. With the iPhone 16, the camera island consists of two lenses that are placed vertically from each other. The last iPhone with such a camera island was the iPhone 12 from 2020.
The changed layout of the camera island probably has to do with the placement of the technical parts in the iPhone. It is still unknown what exactly will change, but it is quite possible that the regular iPhone 16 will also receive a number of cool camera functions. For example, the entry-level models will probably get a 48-megapixel camera, just like the iPhone 14 Pro (Max).
iPhone will not appear until next year
It is therefore expected that the camera island of the iPhone 16 will be slightly different, but this is anything but certain. After all, the phone will only appear in 2024, of course, a lot can change by then. In any case, it is likely that the quality of the camera with the regular iPhone 15 is already improving significantly. The iPhone 16 then takes over this improved camera.
