According to Twitter user RGcloudS the battery of the iPhone 15 is ‘stacked’. The battery cells are thus placed on top of each other, so that more capacity fits in the same dimensions.
Electric cars are already making extensive use of these stacked batteries, due to their capacity and option to recharge quickly. But you can also find these types of batteries in medical devices, aerospace and more.
Another advantage of these batteries is the better heat distribution. You then no longer have the heat generated in a specific place, but more over a larger surface of the battery. This ensures that the battery of the iPhone 15 also lasts a bit longer.
The big advantage of this new battery is of course that you can use your iPhone even longer. It is not known how much more iPhone fun you can get from one full charge.
