iOS 16.4: the 4th public beta is available

Apple today released the fourth public beta of iOS 16.4 on iPhone and iPadOS 16.4 on iPad. It arrives just a few hours after the equivalent version for developers.

There is obviously no particular change with the beta 4 of iOS 16.4. Apple therefore took advantage of this version to fix a few bugs here and there. It also suggests that the final version is not very far away. As a reminder, a Brazilian operator has suggested that the availability will be this month.

The previous beta added the ability to set a specific Apple account to access betas. You can thus have your Apple account for everything (iOS, iCloud, App Store, etc.) and another separate developer account to access the betas. For their part, the previous betas were the occasion to have the return of the old animation when turning a page in the Apple Books application (the same as that of iOS 15), 31 new emojis , the return of the new HomeKit architecture, support for notifications for web apps, better for the Podcasts application and more.

If your device is set up to receive public betas, go to Settings > General > Software Update. If not, you can go to beta.apple.comsign in with your account and follow the instructions.
