Intel is sending new monster processors into the desert
With its Ryzen processors that have now been introduced, AMD is putting the competition from Intel in its pockets – at least that’s what AMD thinks. The top model is said to be more than half faster than the Intel counterpart. Four new Ryzen processors will appear for the time being.
AMD Ryzen 7000 beat Intel CPUs
Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) has presented the latest generation of its processors. The Ryzen 7000 series should not only be able to compete with Intel, but with them Clearly outperform the competition’s CPUs. The top model, the Ryzen 9 7950X, is said to be up to 57 percent faster than the Intel Core i9-12900K.
According to AMD, the significant plus in performance should not be noticeable with increased power consumption. On the contrary, the manufacturer says that the Ryzen 9 7950X with maximum 230 watts under full load satisfied (source: AMD). The power consumption of the Intel counterpart is slightly higher.
AMD wants four models from the end of September provide. In addition to the strongest Ryzen 9 7950X, the 9 7900X, 7 7700X and 5 7600X can also be expected. They are all supported by DDR5-5200 memory, the L3 cache is between 32 and 64 MB depending on the model. Socket AM5 is required, which according to AMD should remain current until at least 2025.
the Processor prices are partly below, partly above those of the predecessors. The top model will initially be available for 700 US dollars, the Ryzen 9 7900X costs 550 euros. The Ryzen 7 7700X is cheaper at $400 and the Ryzen 5 7600X at $300.

AMD gains processor market share
AMD has recently been able to increase its market share in many areas. For desktop computers, it went for AMD within a year from 17.1 to 20.6 percent up. The increase in the mobile sector is even clearer, where AMD can now point to 24.8 instead of 20 percent. AMD’s market share has also increased by more than 4 percent in servers.
