Instagram will soon allow you to create posts directly from your computer

Service Instagram for a long time now it is not only available on the displays of smartphones, but also on computers thanks to the official desktop application. It allows you to view posts and communicate, but it is not possible to add new posts. According to the portal PhoneArena this will change soon.

The ability to add desktop posts is currently being tested internally

The portal operates on the tweet of the developer and tipster Alessandro Paluzzi. He was the first to confirm that Instagram is working on a way that allows users to create posts from a computer or laptop. This feature is reportedly being tested internally. The only way to create a post on Instagram at this time is for an application or extension that may appear in a desktop web browser such as Chrome.

At the same time, full support for creating posts on the desktop has long been one of the most sought-after features from Instagram users. Paluzzi has also posted a few pictures that show what the tested feature looks like at present. Of course, it should be emphasized that Instagram can still make changes to it before the new feature is officially launched.

Adding posts works similarly to the mobile app

Creating a post from your computer’s desktop looks similar to creating a post using Instagram. As in the application, there is a button at the top of the desktop display (the “+” icon inside the rounded box) to create a post. Users will also be able to drag and drop images and videos from the desktop or folders, and will also have access to an editor that supports cropping and filtering.

It is possible to add captions, a location and, of course, tag the people in the picture to the photo. In advanced settings, users will be able to disable comments. Paluzzi did not state the date when we could expect the official launch of the creation of posts on the desktop. For many companies, however, Instagram is one of the main marketing tools, and Facebook has long been asking for the ability to create posts from the desktop.
