ING in trouble again: “Disruption can last for days”
ING is again suffering from a major outage, which started this morning and seemed to have been resolved for a while. Now it appears that the problems at the bank are bigger than previously thought.
Extensive disruption affects ING
The website of the bank with the orange lion now also displays a warning that users may experience problems logging in to MijnING and using the mobile app. There were already problems on January 23, and with the number of customers that the bank has, not a single malfunction passes quietly.
Anyone who opens the ING application will receive the message “Temporarily unavailable”. A spokesperson told Nu.nl that it is working with all its might to solve the problems. But also admits that he does not know whether the malfunction will be resolved in a few hours.
“It is taking longer than we had anticipated. Whether the malfunction can be resolved within hours or days? I dare not say that” – Spokesperson for ING
The bank is now busy processing messages via social media and points out to customers that the bank cards do work normally.
There are currently problems logging in to My ING and our Mobile Banking App. You may also experience problems making payments.

Update 10:00 PM: ING has shared a statement about the malfunction. In it, the bank writes that it concerns a malfunction between internal systems. There is also no solution for this at the moment. ING emphasizes once again that this will take a lot of time. The bank also writes that there is no question of a cyber attack, and apologizes to customers who are inconvenienced.
