In the Telekom network: Flexible Congstar tariff receives extra data volume

For existing and new customers, Congstar is increasing the data volume with the popular Fair Flat tariff. There is no extra charge for this. The Fair Flat is particularly characterized by the fact that you only pay for the mobile data you use in the Telekom network. But there are potential pitfalls to be aware of.

Congstar increases data volume: Fair Flat in the Telekom network more attractive

Congstar is turning the data screw again: With the Flex tariff Fair Flat that will be available data volume adjusted upwards. On the other hand, there is no price adjustment, but one data price option of five previously available will be deleted. Anyone who already uses Congstars Fair Flat does not have to take any action. Instead, there is simply more data volume for free.

For the Fair Flat there will be in the future four options with different data volumes:

5 GB in the LTE network for 15 euros / month 8 GB in the LTE network for 20 euros / month 12 GB in the LTE network for 25 euros / month 18 GB in the LTE network for 30 euros / month

Tariff for irregular frequent surfers

At all levels, the maximum download speed is 25 Mbit / s, if you want to upgrade to 50 Mbit / s, you pay an extra 3 euros per month. The great thing about the Fair Flat is also the catch, depending on your point of view: If you use less data than booked, you automatically end up on the corresponding lower price level. However, simply using more is not possible, the SpeedOn options cost up to 10 euros for 2 GB (source: Congstar). It is therefore advisable to have one of the options to book a lot of data and then enjoy a discount than the other way around.

You can save not only on the mobile phone tariff, but also on the smartphone purchase: In Video we have put together cell phones at a bargain price:

The mobile operator does not explain what happens to customers who have booked the omitted tariff level. Since the Fair Flat can be canceled on a monthly basis anyway, it can be assumed that in these cases Another option for the new billing month must be chosen.

We find: Who values a generous volume of data, but irregularly exhausts it, the Fair Flat should take a closer look. But if you are hardly dependent on large amounts of data on the go or prefer prepaid tariffs, there are better alternatives. Instead, there are discount rates from Aldi or Lidl, for example. Here you can save significantly more, especially with little data volume required.
