The Polish team Glob Games Studio is developing a small but interesting sci-fi game with an entertaining premise in cooperation with Duality Games. Tales of Tomorrow: Experiment is the first adventure in which you wake up aboard a spaceship that travels through outer space. You’re alive, that’s good news. The bad news is that you have no idea who you are or where you came from. You lost all your memories.

Using the ship’s computer is prohibited. It is not recommended to examine the ship. Prohibited areas are… prohibited.

It doesn’t matter that you don’t know what to do, your steps will be willingly controlled by the despotic ship’s artificial intelligence EVE. They will provide you with a daily routine and you will perform tasks aimed at keeping the ship functional. If you listen, you can look forward to the reward. You get time off, more food and other conveniences. But if you refuse to obey, you will be punished.

EVE is not just an AI name, it stands for External Videographic Encouragement. According to her, the fulfillment of the assigned tasks is in order. Rest is also fine, as well as good physical and mental condition. But hey, you can’t do anything. Using the ship’s computer is prohibited. It is not recommended to examine the ship. Prohibited areas are… prohibited. In the event that you resist, artificial intelligence is entitled to kill you. Hey, you haven’t read Isaac Asimov’s Laws of Robotics ?!

Obedience is said to be essential to the successful completion of the mission. But what missions? You will discover the truth about this ship and what controls it, the authors ask. When will you resist? The studio promises an adult story in the form of a shorter game for two to three hours, which, however, is to be full of replayability. The environment and its key elements change randomly each time you restart the game.

Developers are also attracted to modern graphics, including ray tracing support. If you suffer from minimalist science fiction stories like Moon, you might like the news as much as I do. The title Tales of Tomorrow: The experiment is aimed at the PC and should be released this year.
