IKEA accidentally releases details of new Symfonisk photo frame

IKEA may accidentally reveal more details about the secretive project it is working on with Sonos. The Verge discovered the product page that the Swedish furniture giant has put online.

IKEA and Sonos have been working together on smart speakers since 2019 under the name SYMFONISK. That same year, this resulted in a table lamp speaker for 179.00 euros and a bookshelf speaker for 99.95 euros. You can read all about these WiFi speakers in our review.

In April, it emerged that both manufacturers were working on a new product: a wall art piece with an integrated loudspeaker. It would be an affordable variant of the more expensive alternatives such as Soundwall. Now a product page of the artwork has already appeared online on Tuesday, which disappeared a little later.

However, various details of the product have surfaced. The so-called Symfonisk photo frame measures 55 by 40 centimeters and you can choose from various interchangeable fronts. The frame itself will be available in black or white. Like the previous two Symfonisk products, the photo frame is designed to blend in with your interior and not to stand out as a large device with glass and a thin bezel around it.

IKEA gives the picture frame a suggested retail price of $199 and would announce the artwork along with a new table lamp speaker on June 14.
