No time right now?

The first candidate for the new sub-brand has a variable interior made of natural and recycled materials. Hyundai also named a fixed date and a special edition.

After the first pictures from the outside, the manufacturer now gives an insight into the interior. On February 23, the group wants to present its first model based on E-GMP to the world.

Flexible center console and wheelbase create space

The manufacturer emphasizes that the particularly flat battery creates more space inside. This effect is supported by the long wheelbase. The design team has also made the seats 30 percent narrower. Drivers can customize the interior, for example using the sliding center console. This “universal island” offers more functions than a stationary storage box. The front seats can be adjusted electrically.

Homely atmosphere with organic components

Hyundai speaks of “a new dimension in design”. Materials such as ecologically processed leather should reinforce this impression. Other fabrics are made from fibers obtained from PET bottle recycling. The polyurethane organic paint made from rapeseed blossoms and maize, for example, is used on the smooth surfaces and the steering wheel. The Korean conglomerate writes that the call for more environmentally conscious mobility has been heard and taken into account with environmentally friendly and sustainably sourced materials.

The model, limited to 3,000 copies, is to receive a special price, while those who pre-order all kinds of exclusive media and an invitation to a special event. The package also includes a free two-year membership with Ionity, the European fast-charging network. Hyundai plans to deliver the first copies this summer.
