Huawei P30 (Pro) and Nokia G50 get new security update

If you are in possession of a Huawei P30, P30 Pro or a Nokia G50, you can expect an update from now on.

Updates at Huawei and Nokia

Huawei is finally rolling out an update for the Huawei P30 Pro in the Netherlands. It is the update to EMUI 11.0.0.174, which will probably also be rolled out to the Huawei P30. Huawei’s smartphone last received an update in August, that was in June.

The 2.5-year-old devices will be updated with the October 2021 security update. This is the second-to-last security update released. The update is 215MB in size and will be rolled out in phases from now on. As far as is known, no other changes will be made.

Nokia G50

Nokia is also rolling out a new update for its brand new device, the Nokia G50. This is the most recent update; the November security update. It addresses several dozen vulnerabilities in the Android system. The size of the update is around 40MB. So presumably only the security patch will be delivered, without any additional changes or changes.
