We just got a rare one in the Android World editorial office Huawei Mate X2. It is not sold at all in Europe (at least for now) and is intended primarily for the domestic market. The second generation of the flexible phone from Huawei has improved quite a bit compared to the original, of course not only in performance or cameras but also in the overall processing and construction.

The Huawei Mate X2 is basically a direct competitor to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 2, but it offers better design and displays. On the front we find 6.45 ″ OLED display with a resolution of 2700 x 1160 pixels and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The display is large enough and can be used as standard as a primary, which is not the case with the first generation Galaxy Fold. When it opens, it looks out at us 8 ″ OLED display with a resolution of 240 x 2220 pixels and a refresh rate of 90 Hz.
Chinese companies have managed to tune the hinge so much that when you run your finger over it, you can hardly feel it at all. In addition, when the phone is closed, no gap is visible to the eye and the phone is integral. The chipset then ticks under the hood Kirin 9000 with 5G support and in our case 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. The battery then has the capacity 4,400 mAh and supports 55 W charging. Of course, they are also top cameras. The main one has a resolution of 50 MPx and an aperture of f / 1.9. There is also an ultra-wide sensor with a resolution of 16 MPx and an aperture of f / 2.4 and a telephoto lens with a resolution of 12 MPx and an aperture of f / 2.4. A novelty is the so-called SuperZoom, which is a lens with a resolution of 8 MPx, which offers up to 100x digital zoom.
