Hope is dawning. Paid Google Workspace may not be waiting for everyone

A few days ago, we informed you about the annoying news that Google decided after a very long time force the user previously unpaid versions of the G Suite cloud service (formerly Google Apps) to move to Premium Workspace. The change, which so far is displeased mainly by small family group administrators or personal account holders without commercial intentions, but may not be so overwhelming in the end. The newly published Google form gives some hope, for example, that some users may be left free to access email on their own domain or other existing benefits.

After a few days old announcement, a questionnaire appeared a few hours ago on the Google Support page, asking older users about using the original G Suite. The wording of the form suggests that perhaps Google could start taking into account who used this package for what purposes. Theoretically, even before the forced transition to Workspace (the deadline was finally postponed to May 2022) they can divide the accounts into multiple groups, while one would not have to be charged.

Owners of “small” accounts have a problem moving from the original G Space to paid Workspace not only because of the newly required fees, but also poor options to choose another variant. Some created or purchased content cannot be moved.

Do you think Google will take into account the purpose of using G Space?
