The plot for Hogwarts Legacy takes place in the extended fantasy universe imagined by JK Rowling for the novels Harry Potter and the movies Fantastic Beasts. It follows the development of a wizard or witch, i.e. the person who plays the game, within Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the late 1800s, before the events of Rowling’s two series.
