Heartbreaking photo from Turkey: Father holds hand of dead daughter

A horrifying image is going around the world of a father holding the hand of his deceased daughter amidst the rubble. It shows the intense grief of the victims of the earthquake.
In the photo released by the AFP news agency, we see the Turkish Mesut Hancer. He crouches on the rubble, holding the hand sticking out from under a large concrete slab. It is the hand of his 15-year-old daughter Irmak. She is still lying on her bed, under pieces of concrete, broken bricks and glass. An apartment complex stood where the rubble is in the Turkish town of Kahramanmaras before the earthquake.
The Dutch Red Cross has opened a giro number for help to those affected by the earthquakes: Giro 7244.
