Google will make it easier for iPhone users to transition to the competition. Works on the “Switch to Android” application

Google’s “Data Recovery Tool” easily helps you transfer data from your old Android smartphone to your new one. However, if you’re switching from an Apple device, you’ll either need to transfer all the data manually or upload some to Google Drive. According to GSMAren, Google is currently working on a solution that should make it easier for iPhone users to switch to Android.

The new “Switch to Android” application will make it easier for iPhone users to transfer data

In version 1.0.382048734 of the “Data Recovery Tool”, a code appeared that links the user to an iOS application created by Google called “Switching to Android.” The company was probably inspired by Apple’s “iOS Migration” app. Specifically, the user will see the following text in the application:

  1. Get the Android Transition app from the App Store.
  2. Go to Wi-Fi settings
  3. Connect to the ^ 1 network and enter the password ^ 2

The new application will also allegedly transfer installed applications from the device

Additional lines of code indicate that the new application will allow users to transfer more data than before. In addition to the ability to transfer SMS messages and contacts, the ability to transfer installed applications is also mentioned.

How Google plans to port applications from two different systems or how it handles paid applications is still questionable. However, it will probably only automatically download an app with the same name and developer from the Google Play store. However, for paid applications, the user will first be forced to purchase them again.
