Google’s launch season is upon us. Last week, the search giant revealed details about the upcoming high-end Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. This time, details about the cheaper Pixel 5a have been leaked. The midrange Pixel is rumored to be released on August 26 and will cost $450.

According to the rumor, Google will start selling the Pixel 5a on August 26. The device would only be available in the Google Store. It is unknown if Google will later make the phone available through third-party sellers in the US and Japan. A launch in Europe is excluded, but it is still possible that the phone will be available via gray import.
Jon Prosser, aka FrontPageTech, also says he has information about the price of the Google Pixel 5a. According to the rumor, it will be $450. If the rumor maker is right, the suggested retail price is $100 higher than was the case for the Google Pixel 4a – which came on the market for $349. The exact reason behind this increase is not discussed by Prosser.
