The American company has introduced the new Goole Pixel Buds A-Series wireless headphones, which are to be a cheaper alternative to the classic Pixel Buds. The GSMAren portal addressed the topic.
Pixel Buds A-Series with good battery life
The new headphones come with IPx4 certification, which ensures increased resistance to rain and sweat. The manufacturer states 5 hours of battery life when listening to music, 2.5 hours of telephony. With the charging case, the endurance is extended to a total of 24 hours of listening to music and 12 hours of making phone calls.
There must also be a fast charge. You get 3 hours of listening to music in 15 minutes in the case. Bluetooth 5.0 technology is used to connect to a smartphone, and the headphones have so-called fast pairing.
There is a 12 mm speaker inside each handset and you don’t even have to worry about any negative pressure. The space vent for pressure control will ensure that you can always enjoy your music to the fullest. Active noise reduction of the headphones is missing.
Pixel Buds A-Series without active noise cancellation
However, this could be quite effective, given the design of the headphones. For example, the popular Samsung Galaxy Buds + headphones have similar passive noise cancellation. There is also an adaptive sound function, which ensures automatic volume increase in case of noisy environments.
Each handset has a touch pad that you can use to control basic functions. For example, pause music, skip to the next song, or pick up an incoming call. The proximity sensor, in turn, ensures that music is automatically paused when the headphones are removed from the ears.
Price and availability
Pixel Buds A-Series headphones come in two colors – Clearly White (white) and Dark Olive (gray-green). It is possible to order them now in the Google store, which unfortunately is still not available in Slovakia. The European price is 99 €.
