Google Pixel 5a will be announced on June 11th

Google will unveil the Pixel 5a on June 11, according to a new rumor. The device would come standard with 5G and is therefore very similar to the current Pixel 4a 5G. This was also evident from previously leaked renders.

Pixel 5a

At the end of last year, Google released the Pixel 5 that we already extensively addressed in the review. Of course, there is also a cheaper alternative on the agenda, the Pixel 5a, and it will be announced on June 11th. Youtuber and rumor spreader Jon Prosser knows that. The man had previously released Google rumors, but was not always right.

Prosser made earlier in a tweet announced that new Pixel Buds earbuds will be released in mid-April, and another device is scheduled for release on June 11. The man now comes back to that original post, adding that the Pixel 5a will be released on June 11.

Leaked features

It is not the first time that we get more information about that device, because the reliable OnLeaks already came with renders of the device. We saw that the phone is very similar to the current Pixel 4a and Pixel 4a 5G with the same dual camera on the back, the fingerprint scanner and the screen with a notch at the top left. There is also room for a 3.5mm audio jack and dual speakers. The phone is expected to come with a chipset supporting 5G by default.

Leaked renders of the alleged Pixel 5a

June 11 seems to us to be a plausible launch date for Google’s cheapest device, especially since June had already leaked the launch month earlier. What do you expect from the Google Pixel 5a this year? Are there things that Google needs to do fundamentally differently or is it better for the company to upgrade its current technology? Let us know in the comments at the bottom of this article.
