Google Messages app gets two functions that we have known from WhatsApp for some time

Users of the Google Messages app will soon be able to use new features in the Android app. For example, consider pinning messages.

Two new features for Google Messages

The Google Messages app on your Android device will soon receive two functions. In an APK teardown, colleagues at XDA have found clues to functions that we have known for years from services such as WhatsApp and Telegram.

It will be possible to pin messages to the top of the app. The user is given the option to pin a maximum of three messages. You can also mark messages with a star. That way, you can find those posts that you’ve marked as favorites faster.

It is unknown when the new features will be available in Google Messages. At the moment it has only surfaced in the code. It probably won’t be long before you can use them yourself.
