Google Maps gets a handy ‘Go Tab’ for even easier navigation

Google Maps has already received a lot of improvements and new functions in recent times. That is now happily continued, because the company is adding the handy ‘Go Tab’ to the application. This makes it easier and faster to navigate to the destination.

Google Maps with Go Tab

A new feature is rolling out to the Google Maps mobile app. This after Google previously proposed house numbers, pedestrian crossings and a new Community Feed as new functions. The new feature that we can use is described as the Go Tab. You should be able to use this function via the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen and allow you to navigate quickly and conveniently to the destination.

The option will replace where we now see ‘Commuters’. Here you will find the fastest route to and from work and home so far. This tab will therefore be replaced by the Go Tab. In this tab you get the option to navigate to frequently visited places at the touch of a button. In fact, it offers more places than just going to work and home. You do not have to enter an address as often.

At the frequently visited places, you will also immediately see the expected travel time, along with any warnings that may affect the journey. Multiple routes can be shown, where you can immediately see which is the most efficient for you. Google will list places that may be of interest to you based on your location history.

Google is rolling out updates in phases. As a result, it may take some time until the new Go Tab is available to everyone.
