Google is testing a new application for storing medical records

Thanks to smartphones or smart accessories, monitoring your health is easier than ever before. Google currently only offers a physical activity tracking app, but according to Android Police, it is now testing an app called Google Health. This allows the user to save their health records, which they will then be able to share with their loved ones.

Based on two leaked screenshots, we know that the new app will offer the ability to save your health records, add important contacts, and possibly share your records with your family.

Google seems to have been inspired by Apple’s Health app

Google was probably inspired by apple competition. In addition to monitoring physical activity or sleep, Apple’s Health app allows you to add health records that the user can then share with their loved ones. Google already has a physical activity tracking application, but it doesn’t offer any of the features mentioned above.

The Google Health app is reportedly in its infancy. This means that it will not reach users that soon, if at all. Google is known for killing promising projects. However, we hope that this application will not be affected by such a fate, as nowadays great emphasis is placed on health.
