Google follows in Apple’s footsteps to attack Epic Games

The accusation made by the American company is similar to that of Apple. Google claims that with the withdrawal of Fortnite, the publisher has deliberately violated the agreement between it and the developers of the Play Store. The breach of the contract between the two parties occurred following the implementation of in-app purchase within the Fortnite game. This is precisely the reason why the battle royale title was removed from the App Store. According to Google, Epic Games would have used this system to get rich at the expense of the store.

In the meantime, the mobile game is no longer available on the Android app store. The players who downloaded the title from the Play Store are however still legion and continue to make transactions. Google fails to make a profit on players who have visited its store. As you can see, the brand’s position is similar to that of the Cupertino-based company. During the court ruling, Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers admitted that Epic Games had broken the contract and the commitments to Apple. You will have seized it, the editor of Fortnite could lose big if this decision were to succeed.
