Gmail app has major problems with syncing and attachments; a solution

As an Android user, there is a good chance that you use the Gmail app. The application can receive and send email messages with multiple accounts and offers several additional features. However, it is not all positive news. Many users complain about problems with Gmail for Android.

Problems with Gmail app

The Gmail app has problems with a lot of users. A look at the reviews in the Google Play Store reveals that a wide range of users are experiencing a variety of issues with Gmail’s Android app. The problems with the service appear to be limited to Gmail’s mobile apps and have been ongoing as of this week.

Let’s take a look at the problems users have encountered. For example, the app continues to synchronize for retrieving emails, which in turn results in a faster draining battery. In addition, it is not possible to send attachments or open attachments for various people. This does not only concern photos, but also documents such as PDF files. For some, the problem is so great that e-mails can no longer be sent or received at all. Another problem that keeps coming back is that, for example, a linked (Hotmail) address is no longer connected and therefore does not receive messages. Users also complain that emails sometimes cannot be tapped and that the Gmail app crashes.

There is not yet a solution to the problem with the Gmail app itself. Also clearing the cache, deleting app data and restarting the phone does not solve the problem. We do have a temporary solution for you; for example, download another mail app like Outlook or Spark Email. You can then email again.
