Ghost of Tsushima will probably see a “director’s” version of Vortex

Sony has decided to stir up the stagnant summer waters of the gaming industry on Tuesday. It all started with the news of the purchase of the Housemarque studio, hand in hand with an error in the communication of this acquisition and probably the revelation of the purchase of Bluepoint Games, and now comes the news regarding Ghost of Tsushima. The developers from Sucker Punch are most likely working on a special Director’s Cut version, which could be officially announced in the coming days. This is indicated by an entry in the ESRB’s rating commission database, where a successful game appeared with the subtitle mentioned and players wondering what exactly it could mean.

Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut is a title for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, according to the ESRB. Of course, a general description of the (in) defect of the title would not deal with the number or composition of missions, and it is possible that in the case of the “director’s” version, their general expansion could not take place. Otherwise, in addition to the M-rating itself, the ESRB’s rating is indeterminate and serves only as primary evidence that something works. Of course, the improvement could be of a technical nature, if we are talking about a version for the PlayStation 5, but at the moment it probably doesn’t make much sense to speculate.

Much more interesting are the considerations of why so many potentially very interesting reports suddenly appeared? We remind you that Sony did not even participate in the digital year of E3 and did not make its games known for quite a long time in the form of a larger conference. Shortly after the end of E3, it was therefore speculated that Sony would actually bring some expanded State of Play broadcasts in July, and today’s news may be a harbinger of that. We can also include the unveiling of the Director’s Cut version of Death Stranding, which was discussed during Geoff Keighley’s Kickoff Live event and about which we also have no further information.
