Garmin Venu 2 Plus and Vivomove Sport: New smart watch officially introduced

The manufacturer Garmin prepared a pair of interesting smart watches for us at the beginning of the year. The Garmin Venu 2 Plus is launched as a slightly improved Venu 2, while the Vivomove Sport is an interesting hybrid between a hand and a smart watch. The novelty was brought by The Verge portal.

Garmin Venu 2 Plus

The Garmin Venu 2 Plus offers the same specifications as the Venu 2 with an extra microphone and speaker. This means that it is possible to call or control the voice assistant via this watch if it is connected to a smartphone. In addition, they can handle, for example, sleep, stress and physical activity tracking or contactless payment using Garmin Pay. There is also support for GPS, GLONASS and Galileo navigation systems, a barometric altimeter and a heart rate sensor.

Garmin Venu 2

In terms of size, the watch is available in a 43 mm version, which is something between the Venu 2 and Venu 2S devices with sizes of 45 mm and 40 mm. We can also find a difference in the battery life, the Plus model offers a slightly lower battery life, which stopped at an average of nine days. Active GPS use and music playback will shorten the life by about one day. Abroad, their price is set at 449.99 USD, we do not know the Slovak one yet.

Garmin Vivomove Sport

The Vivomove Sport model differs slightly from regular smart watches. It looks like a classic, analog watch with hands, but at the bottom there is a small OLED display. It shows the user, for example, blood oxygen level, heart rate, number of steps or incoming alerts.

The watch can also be connected to a smartphone and paired with the application, where you will find information about the quality of sleep or sports activity. They don’t have built-in GPS, but they can retrieve location data from a mobile device. In normal use, they offer five days of battery life, for only $ 179.99.
