It will still be possible to buy these titles via PS3 and Vita.
At the same time, it was originally assumed that there would be no way to get new digital games for the PSP. This would mean the irreversible loss of 35 titles that were only released on the PSP and were not available in a boxed version. In fact, only the Store on the PSP itself eventually closed, but games as such are still available for purchase on this platform from other platforms.
In practice, it should work by buying a new game for PSP on PS3 or Vita, and then you can “restore” it on PSP and “download it again” from the download list of previously purchased titles.
Sony has clarified this information on the support page without any fanfare. At the same time, she faced great resistance from the fans. The closure of PS Story on PSP, Vita and PS3 was speculated about in the spring. Sony officially announced the plan in March, but after criticizing the players, it reconsidered it a month later, saying that trades on the PS3 and Vita will continue and only the one on the PSP will close.
Although it was true from the beginning that customers would be able to download previously purchased games, it is a bit surprising that the manufacturer did not emphasize more the fact that in the end the reality will be even more favorable.
