Gambling is coming to Google Play in 15 countries, including the Czechia?

The trend of gambling is getting everywhere today. First came the vending machines and similar bar “machines” that almost every pub had. Over time, a certain way of gambling also came to computer game players. I mean trading on the platform Steam and the famous “opening boxes” (the so-called box costs real money and after opening it you will receive a randomly selected item, mostly an aesthetic element for the game, which you can then sell to other players). Now gambling is also coming to Google Play.

It may occur to you that gambling applications are already in the play store. You are right after searching for the term “Casino” you will come across a hundred applications, which are virtual casinos. Applications contain possibility of internal transactions. The transaction is used to purchase the currency that you use in the application, for example, to spin roulette.

After downloading the app you will receive it as a “gift” free currency for which you can play. Free currency is probably the reason why applications are not directly labeled as gambling applications and can operate without an operating license. You play for free currency, but after a while you run out of currency. To continue, you must either wait for the currency that the application itself will provide or purchase the currency.

Conversely, applications that they will come to Google play on March 1 they will support gaming only with real money, It will basically be a virtual casino literally and figuratively. Each application will have to go through before it can run Google Play placement request process. Subsequently, the application awaits approval by the authority under which gambling in the country falls and eventually obtaining operating license. Gambling comes to Google Play in four forms.

Countries that allow virtual casinos and other gembling: Australia, Belgium, Canada, Colombia, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Romania, Spain, Sweden and the United States. The Czechia is not among the countries but it is probably only a matter of time before the casino and other gambling applications come to Czech Google Play.
