LastPass users will experience a change in the subscription model. The change, effective March 16, will no longer let you use the service on two different devices with the free version.

LastPass

LastPass is a popular, well-loved password manager. You can not only use it on your computer, but also as an app on your Android device, for example. LogMeIn, the company behind LastPass, has now announced that things are about to change. The free version of the password manager will be a lot more limited than it is now. The change for this will take effect on March 16.

For those who want to keep using the service on both their smartphone and computer, there is some bad news. From that date they will no longer be able to use the service on two different types of devices. Users have to choose whether they want to use the service on computers (including internet browsers and laptops) or mobile devices (including tablets, smartphones and smartwatches). Within the chosen ‘category’ you may still use unlimited devices as a free user.

From 17 May there will also be some changes. From then on, email support with customer service will only be available to Premium and Family users. The free users will have to make do with the solutions in the support center and forum. For 2.90 euros per month you have the Premium bundle. The subscription with Family, which offers 6 licenses for Premium, costs 3.90 euros per month.
