The big advantage of next-gen gaming is the power that the manufacturers have put into the console. Both the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X and S are wonderfully fast machines for gaming. Microsoft comes with an extra for the Xbox Series X and S and they call it FPS Boost.
This outcome is designed to improve the gaming experience of older games on your Xbox Series X and S. The frame rate will be improved, which makes for a smoother game. On the other hand, Far Cry 4, New Super Lucky’s Tale, Sniper Elite 4, UFC 4, and Watch Dogs 2 are games that are compatible with the FPS Boost. In some cases, the games’ FPS has even doubled. You can play various games at 120 fps with the FPS Boost on your next-gen Xbox.
This great development can be a reason to play an old game again on your Xbox Series X or S. Playing with (much more) FPS can provide a completely different gaming experience. If you are unsure whether your old game supports the FPS Boost, you must press the Xbox logo of your controller while gaming. If there is indeed support, you will see a new icon appear.
