Colleen loved dressing her kids. She especially excelled at special occasions. But when she has a daughter after three sons, she goes completely wild. “She had a head full of hair, so I tied a bow in it every day. She is now five and still wears them. Did I encourage that? Absolute. But if she didn’t want it anymore, it wasn’t a problem.’

Whether her choice of clothing affects her children? No, says Colleen. “Maybe they’ll wear the same style later, maybe the opposite. They naturally develop their own taste. As long as they are themselves.’

Do whatever you want
According to Colleen, you can go all out with your creations until they start to struggle. “You carry your baby in your belly for nine months. How do you show that you are proud? Correct. By dressing it cute. And whatever your style is, it’s perfect. Dress your child the way you want and don’t worry about others.’
