First image OnePlus 10 Pro confirms new cameras
OnePlus shows us the first image of the new OnePlus 10 Pro and it’s good news for camera enthusiasts: the completely new cameras have once again been designed together with Hasselblad.
OnePlus will of course improve their flagship again in 2022. It may be closer than you think, because we’ve already got our hands on the first image. That also gives an idea of a number of specifications.
OnePlus 10 Pro
Because an image can say a lot. There are no official specs yet, but we know three things for sure. Firstly, that it will logically be called OnePlus 10 Pro and that there will probably also be a slightly lesser and slightly cheaper OnePlus 10. The Pro will of course be the showpiece in terms of specs. That brings us to an important innovation that builds on the OnePlus 9 Pro: the cameras.
Hasselblad
OnePlus has again collaborated with Hasselblad for the 10 Pro. If you don’t know Hasselblad (you are probably in the minority): this is one of the most important producers of SLRs of all time. There have been numerous professional uses for Hasselblad cameras, but the most famous are NASA’s space missions. Modified Hasselblads provided the first records of alien scenes in the 1960s and, of course, the historic moon landing. Nice to know: Because any weight savings for the return journey from a space trip is essential, only the rolls of film were taken for the moon landing. So there are still 12 Hasselblad cameras roaming somewhere on the moon.
New camera island
We digress. Hasselblad is therefore also responsible for the cameras on the OnePlus 10 Pro. Obviously, these aren’t the same extremely high-quality DSLR cameras that Hasselblad normally supplies, but it’s a good name to have on your camera island. Speaking of that island: the OnePlus 10 Pro gets three lenses. Specifications are not yet known, but if we can make a guess, it looks like last year and you get a main camera, a zoom lens and a wide-angle lens. The camera island itself places the cameras in a 2 by 2 square setup (with the flash as the fourth ‘lens’) and the island is more nicely integrated into the side and back of the device.
We can also conclude from the image that the OnePlus 10 Pro will come in black and green, but there will probably be more colors. There is also 5G functionality, but that actually seems more the rule than the exception for a flagship these days. Good news for people who like useful under-appreciated features: the switch on the side with which you can set the phone to silent, sound and vibrate also remains.
Furthermore, it remains to be seen. OnePlus is expected to come soon with the full reveal of the OnePlus 10 Pro.
