Facebook works in cooperation with Ray-Ban on smart glasses
The American giant Facebook wants to let us know that it is not just a software company. He will also try to make a name for himself in the creation of hardware. Specifically, it is going to produce smart glasses in cooperation with the Ray-Ban brand. The Verge web portal informed about this fact.
Smart glasses from Facebook and Ray-Ban will be practical and stylish at the same time
We do not know the official date of the performance yet. The global pandemic has changed the plans of several companies. We have heard before that a similar novelty is to be introduced by Facebook during the current year. However, this may have changed as a result of the infection, and Mark Zuckerberg himself did not announce a more precise date for their introduction.
According to him, however, we should almost certainly see smart glasses made in cooperation with the well-known brand. At the same time, they have a classic look and allow the user to see the world from a slightly different perspective. We know that glasses will not have a display.
You can now ask yourself a lot of questions. Will these glasses be able to make phone calls? Is smart assistant support a matter of course? Unfortunately, we do not currently know the answer to any of these similar questions.
Smart glasses are a good idea to make everyday life easier
Despite the fact that it should not be a direct device for displaying augmented reality, a certain form of it, in our opinion, will certainly be implemented here. What, then, would smart glasses be used for? It is known that the company has probably been working on them for some time.
Now all we have to do is believe that Facebook will bring something that can make our daily lives easier. There is talk of the status of a so-called “metaverse”. It is a combination of physical and virtual reality. It will be possible to use the technology, for example, during shopping, at work or even during socialization.
