This, of course, has not escaped the attention of traditional social networks such as Facebook a Twitter. According to the portal 9to5mac for Facebook allegedly working on his own alternative service and Twitter it is even a little further.

What makes the Clubhouse social network special?

Unlike other social networks, Clubhouse does not have a textual form of communication, but only works on the principle of live “audio podcasts”. The basic principle is rooms in which one or a couple of speakers speak and the others listen to them. Alternatively, they can sign up for the floor as if they were in a live conference. There are a few moderators who correct and control the discussion so that people don’t overlap.

You have rooms there that are thematically focused, e.g. business, where successful people (directors, business owners) informally help and advise their less successful colleagues. Women there have relationship counseling, content creators share their advice, there are various discussion circles, politics, newspapers, mediation. According to its users, the social network is very addictive. It is currently only available to owners of iOS and iPadOS devices.

Both Facebook and Twitter could take advantage of the unavailability of the Clubhouse service for Android

The unavailability of the Clubhouse application for Android could now be used by the traditional social networks Facebook and Twitter. According to the sources of the diary New York Times Facebook is already working on the competition, and the company’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, has shown interest in a new audio communication platform. He even recently joined a Clubhouse discussion room to discuss augmented reality.

Facebook executives have ordered employees to create a similar product known internally as Fireside. It was revealed by people who do not have the authority to speak in public. They claim that the product is in the early stages of development and that the code name of the project may still change.

Meanwhile, another competing social network, Twitter, has made available a beta version of the Spaces audio feature, which is similar to Clubhouse. Twitter’s product manager, Kayvon Beykpour, has confirmed that another 3,000 people have been invited to the current 1,000 feature testers. The Spaces feature is intended to allow users to create rooms where they can discuss a selected topic in real time in audio form.

Despite the fact that the Spaces function is still available in beta only for the iOS platform, its integration into the Android application Twitter would not take long. A similar advantage could be provided to Facebook by its Android application, and both services could thus benefit from the opportunity to discuss between the two platforms.
