In reality, this name will correspond in the first place to the agglomeration grouping together Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp. The name Meta will come above all to occupy the field of virtual reality. The Oculus brand disappears in favor of this new name. Mark Zuckerberg’s assumed goal is simple on paper. He intends to transform his group into one: “fictitious virtual universe, in which individuals could evolve in persistent and shared spaces, in three dimensions ”. To do this, the company will hire 1,000 employees over the next five years.
