Exynos 2200: We know the official date of the show
The expected Exynos 2200 from the workshop of the South Korean manufacturer Samsung already has an official release date. The company has confirmed that its latest flag chipset will be unveiled on January 11. At the same time, it should be the launch date of the Galaxy S21 FE. The novelty was brought by the Phone Arena portal.

The Exynos 2200 should traditionally power the upcoming Galaxy S22 flagship models, which are expected to be introduced sometime in early 2022. Samsung is working with AMD to develop it, from which the brand’s fans expected a significant shift in graphics performance. However, a recent leak claims that the chipset will actually bring only a small improvement over last year’s Exynos 2100.

Samsung will soon introduce the next generation of its flagship processor, the Exynos 2200, which will also power the Galaxy S22 series in our region. AMD is also involved in its development, making it one of the most anticipated chipsets next year. However, the latest leak suggests that it may not be as amazing as we expected. The novelty was brought by the Gizmochina portal.
The Exynos 2200 reportedly delivers only a 5% improvement in CPU performance and a 17% improvement in graphics performance over last year’s Exynos 2100. By comparison, it offered a decent 30% increase in CPU performance and a 40% increase in graphics performance over its predecessor, the Exynos 990.
However, as Samsung is working with AMD to develop a graphics chip this year, we can theoretically expect other improvements from the chipset, such as better 3D game optimization or even raytracing support.
2022 will be a year of artificial intelligence
However, the new chipset will not be just a disappointment. It excels in one area. It will be equipped with a new NPU (Neural Processing Unit), which offers a 117% increase in artificial intelligence performance. This is reflected, for example, in additional photo editing software to compensate manufacturers for hardware failures or the speed of Bixby’s voice assistant.
