According to the manufacturer, Motorola’s portfolio can be expanded much further. We now see that with the announcement of the Moto E40. The company’s new affordable smartphone.

Moto E40

If you are a price-conscious consumer, Motorola has the new Moto E40 for you. The manufacturer promises a great phone with a good price-quality ratio. What is immediately noticeable is that the device has a hefty 5000 mAh battery, which, according to the manufacturer, should last more than 40 hours. We also see a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a refresh rate of 90Hz.

The Moto E40 offers a Unisoc T700 chipset, an octa-core processor with a maximum computing power of 1.8GHz. There is 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There is a 48MP main camera, which is assisted by a 2MP depth and 2MP macro lens.

Motorola gives the Moto E40 a fingerprint scanner, which is on the back, in the Batwing logo. There is also a physical Google Assistant button for quick searches. The phone comes with Android 11, but there is no mention of updates. We suspect that it will remain with Android 11, and that security updates will only appear for the smartphone every so often.

At the end of October, the Moto E40 should be available in the Netherlands for a price of 149.99 euros. You can choose from the colors Carbon Gray and Pink Clay. The telephone can already be ordered at Belsimpel.
